Tennis Club

Tennis club

Surbiton Methodist Tennis Club is a small, friendly volunteer-run club with a real community feel. We have six all-weather courts, a pavilion and attractive grounds. We keep our subscriptions low by running on a self-help basis, and members are expected to assist with grounds and court maintenance, cleaning and catering for Saturday teas. The club is very sociable and welcomes players of all standards. Although the club is owned by Surbiton Hill Methodist Church and would be pleased to see you there, you do not need to be a member of the church to join the club. It is open to all. We have regular club sessions throughout the year and coaching through the summer months for adults and juniors, all included in the membership. Balls are provided. Courts are available for play at any time apart from Sundays before 12.30pm and Friday evenings during the summer when the Junior Club meets. Club tournaments take place over the summer months and there are categories for all levels of play. Over the past year floodlights have been installed which of course means that play can continue in the dark winter evenings. These will be a great asset to the club. Also this year the club has formed a partnership with Surrey Tennis Coaching who provide paid lessons for children after school and in the school holidays.

The club accepts bookings for the pavilion as well as promoting the club as a venue for church events.                                Contact us at info@surbitonmethodisttennis.org

Have a look at our website and contact us if you are interested in joining – or drop in on a Saturday afternoon between 1.30 and 4pm.
